ZIMRA Public Notice 16 of 2026: Scheduled Data Centre Maintenance — 13–14 March 2026
Public Notices

ZIMRA's Public Notice 16 of 2026 advises all taxpayers, tax agents, and system users that a scheduled Data Centre maintenance window will take place from Friday 13 March 2026 at 22:00 hours through to Saturday 14 March 2026 at 06:00 hours. During this eight-hour maintenance window, a number of ZIMRA's electronic services may be unavailable or intermittently disrupted. Users are advised to plan their system interactions accordingly.

Start Date and TimeFriday, 13 March 2026 at 22:00 hrs
End Date and TimeSaturday, 14 March 2026 at 06:00 hrs

Services Potentially Affected

The following ZIMRA electronic services may experience interruptions during the maintenance window:

  • TaRMS Self-Service Portal (mytaxselfservice.zimra.co.zw) — return filing, payment processing, account inquiries;
  • ASYCUDA World — customs declaration processing and Payment After Assessment (PAA) transactions;
  • FDMS (Fiscalisation Data Management System) — fiscal invoice transmission and retrieval;
  • ZIMRA Website (www.zimra.co.zw) — public-facing portals and downloadable resources; and
  • E-mail Services — ZIMRA station email addresses used for excise and other correspondence.

Guidance for Taxpayers and Tax Agents

Taxpayers and tax agents who have outstanding returns or payments due on or around 14 March 2026 are strongly advised to complete their submissions before 22:00 on 13 March 2026 to avoid any risk of non-compliance arising from system unavailability. Where a return or payment deadline falls within or immediately after the maintenance window, and where a taxpayer can demonstrate that they were prevented from filing or paying due to the system outage, ZIMRA may exercise discretion in the application of late filing penalties. However, this is not guaranteed, and the safest approach is always to file and pay before the maintenance window begins.

Importers and exporters who have consignments awaiting customs assessment or release should be aware that ASYCUDA World transactions may be delayed during the outage. Clearing agents should plan shipment timing to avoid critical customs transactions falling within the maintenance window.

Service Resumption

ZIMRA expects all systems to resume normal operations by 06:00 on Saturday 14 March 2026. Should the maintenance extend beyond the planned window, a further notice will be published on the ZIMRA website and social media channels. Users are encouraged to monitor ZIMRA's official communication channels for real-time updates.

Planned Outage: ZIMRA electronic services (including TaRMS, ASYCUDA, and FDMS) may be unavailable from Friday 13 March 2026 at 22:00 to Saturday 14 March 2026 at 06:00. Complete all filings and payments before 22:00 on 13 March to avoid any compliance risk.
